MC, great video once again. What is your opinion of the Kizer Wanderer? I purchased it on impulse but I think it’s excellent!

Bananas lol. These knives having their names on them is feels like self-respect to me. A lot like having the confidence to introduce one's self to somebody who might be unfamiliar ("What's going on, YouTube? This is a knife review channel here…" Not really feeling that open, right?). Also aftermarket considerations. That said, I totally agree serial numbers and big logos and stuff detract from aesthetics. Steel, designer, model (and brand, if done quietly) seem like useful info to have right there if it's just you and the knife.

That's one of the things I like about Spyderco, they have a good selection of unique & high performance steels. I got the K390 Police 4 about a month ago when White Mountain Knives had them in stock & it's huge for sure, even longer blade than the Military & Manix 2 XL. Interesting to see how your keychain knife has held up after an entire year of usage MC.

I love k390, in my opinion if you don’t have edge chipping issues with what you tend to cut and if corrosion isn’t an issue where you live, k390 is the PERFECT steel. By the way I make custom knives, know way too much about steel and have had 4 different spydercos in k390. Also have made a few blades in k390, I can certainly tell you this stuff is something else

Pretty sure they used that clip with the hole in it so if someone wanted to carry it tip down it would clear the pivot hardware…

I'm pretty sure the hole in the clip isn't for a lanyard, it's to get around the pivot screws if you decide to carry it tip down.
Also, I really want the K390 Stretch 2 that's upcoming.

I like K390 for it's simpler formula and small grain size. Let's it take a very fine edge and you can lay the edge down to 15 degrees without fear. I wish this was a compression lock though.
