OCD 4EDC gave this same knife a pretty disappointing review for similar issues that you have brought up as well. Not good for a $200+ knife. Thanks for the content.

Absolutely love my VLD! I picked it up figuring it would be a good stand in for the Skaha II while I wait for my waitlist slot to come up and I decided pretty quickly that it'll be sticking around. I did a pretty heavy stonewash on the liners on mine to knock down the sharp edges as well as smooth out that coarse bead blast that I'm not a super huge fan of. And for what it's worth, the scales on the carbon fiber version aren't really sharp at all. That may be because the scales on the CF version are fully contoured rather than chamfered.

Appreciate you checking out my VLD, I mentioned many of the same pros and cons in my review, cool knife, but not perfection. The action and acoustic definitely are my favorite parts. 🤙🏻

You can wash micarta and it looks like new. Its my favorite scale material…………patina patina patina 🤙
