Mine has a pretty limp detent. It's a nice knife but my ganzo fh12 works so much better.
My knife(Ray-Kuh) is centered perfectly and operates very smoothly. I buff it up twice a month with a Ceramic rod, you can shave with it. No problems yet.

When you read "Drogheda" (a city in Ireland) you'd never think it's called "draw-dah" or the female first name "Saoirse" is pronounced "Shor-shah". So, the idea of spelling something "ruike" but having it pronounced "rake" doesn't necessarily need to be Chinese, it could also be Irish.
