Does it work as advertised, or is it an epic fail?

I use this machine to sharpen my sword, hatchets and dirk… sometimes kitchen knives. Works well. HOWEVER, it scratched the sides of my blades pretty badly. I like it a lot. Not for thick blades.

did you actually do 20 per side on the first pass? U know u can speed up videos? Also why did you cut the tomato with a different technique AFTER you sharpened the knife?

Am I the only person out here who thinks this absurdly complicated contraption is just an expensive gimmic destined to become yet another piece of unnecessary household clutter? 54 pulls per knife for starters, so your knife can cut paper? I don't use knives to cut paper – thats why I have scissors. At this age I also don't accumulate clutter I get rid of it. Trizor Edge be gone.

My Sushi Chef son-in-law gave it a thumbs up. Then he sharpened my knife .. to where you can make confetti. I felt bad asking him to sharpen our knives. His knives scare the crap out of me.
