Best Budget Pocket Knife Recommendations under $50. Buck, Mercator, Kershaw, Spyderco

Just in time for Christmas, here are my picks for the best pocket knives under $50. From about $15 and up there’s a knife for every budget. I compare weights, sizes, and overall useage sorta. Most of the knives here have stainless steel blades, pocket clips, and locks. Including brands like Spyderco, Buck, Kabar, Mercator, Ganzo, Douk douk, Case, Civivi, and more. I have done detailed reviews of all of these folding knives, and if you’d like to watch those check out the links below.

Why the fuck so many EDC knives have a banana shape?! I forsee in 10 years EDC knives are going to resemble hooks 🙂 EDIT: This is the first recommendation video I watched. I figured out I need: 1. Normal size handle with short blade. 2. Carbon steel. So I'll either go a DIY route or buy a knife and re-grind it.

Can you guys do other budget knives on other legit companies. instead of the famous 5 companies for budget knives. I see too many companies in Amazon to differentiate between bullshit and treasures?

I don't know how anybody survived before pocket clips. I would carry a Swiss army tinker except that it will end up side ways at the bottom of my pants pocket. So I carry a Cold Steel Espada (basically the same knife as the tinker) with a pocket clip.

I have an Ozark Trails model 5514 assisted opening knife that I paid under $7 for on sale at Walmart. The 3 ½" blade is forged from 3Cr13 stainless steel, the grip scales are glass filled nylon and the handle is a bit chunky, it has a pocket clip (but not deep pocket carry) and lanyard hole. It opens with either the thumb stud on the blade or the thumb jumping lever on the spine, which is stiff and takes getting used to. The thumb jumping lever is a separate unit from the blade, protruding like the flipper on some folding knives when closed and fitting flush when open, leaving a handy depression for the thumb depending upon how it's gripped. Like a Hi Point pistol, is it cheap? Damn Skippy! Will it work? Yes. Even at around $20 it's a worthwhile value for the price. It's no gas station "special."

I own Ganzo Firebird. It’s an ok knife, when it is open and you are working with it. But it’s horrible as pocket knife. It always opening in the pocket just when I walk or drive a car from regular shaking. It doesn’t open completely, just 1/4 or less just enough to cut your hand, when you put it in the pocket. So there is my review for you.

There are tons of very good chinese knives under $50.when you go under $20 that is when you have to carefull. We all know that the brand names are all ripp offs…but we all buy them !!!!

For a budget, light to medium use carry I'm a big fan of Grand Way. Never see anyone mention them and they're fantastic blades between $20-$50

Love it are you were just talking about people getting mad about that Gonzo company because they copy other people's stuff I think that's a beautiful thing because a lot of those custom makers well and then you got the people that say they're knife makers but they're actually grinders you know they buy flat sheets of steel send it off to be heat treated and then they grind their blade into it I think of her true knife maker as somebody that's making folding knives or somebody that's forging a knife out of steel. But a lot of those ones that they just cut out a shape out of a piece of steel and grind it into a knife they charge like 400 to $1,000 typically you get companies like Gonzo that a make that knife for 40 bucks that's a lovely thing it lets people that are less fortunate get the have a knife that someone liked it

Knife Bro I have most of those,Ruike is also a winner, cool vid dude,I've got a knife cabinet the size of refrigerator, carried a pocketknife since age 7
