Wrap the candle in tin foil. That will do two things: 1) Stop it melting over everything else in hot weather, 2) Extend it's life when lite. Also add a decent brew kit and add a Bic lighter with some bicycle inner tube if you have it. Absolute magic for fire lighting in wet weather.
