Nice video. you should ad The ASEK is ONLY available in the foliage green color and it is INFRA-RED resistant. Not sure if that good or bad. If I'm lost I would like I to be able to find me. So what one did you end up getting?

I purchased the Gerber LMF II "survival" version from Brownell's Police Store site in 2015. They only had the dark earth or brown color. The Gerber knife kit included the safety blade & tan nylon sheath. I kept both knives in the side of my Jeep door for any emergency or possible defense use(back up to a sidearm). I think Gerber no longer offers the kit version to the public. Just the USAF or military units. The LMF II is fine for most campers, hikers or emergency(disaster kit) uses. I prefer tanto style blades but this field knife is thick. You can pry open items or use it as a hammer. I clean & oil it with Ballistol. I use the Gerber sharpener on the belt rig. I may buy a better sharpener system later but the Smith's pocket kit does okay. I got the Gerber LMF II for vehicle/disaster use so I rarely carry or need it. I paid about $85.00 USD. I'd suggest it to anyone looking for a basic field knife.

This is a good knife but don't pay $100 for one.  I got mine in foliage green for just over $65 including shipping.
